Shenzhen, China – May 2025 – Algerian students have made history at the global finals of the “Huawei ICT Competition 2025,” held in Shenzhen, China, by securing a series of prestigious awards, showcasing the excellence of Algerian expertise in cutting-edge technology.

Securing Prestigious Global Awards


According to Algerian Television, the Algerian team clinched the Grand Prize in both the Computing and Cloud categories, the highest honors awarded in this international competition. Additionally, the Network team secured first place, highlighting the exceptional capabilities of Algerian students across various technical disciplines.

Champions in Computing, Cloud, and Networking


In the Computing category, Taalbi Abdelrahman, Mahloul Mohamed, and Dala Abdelrahman from the National School of Computer Science in Sidi Bel Abbès were awarded the Grand Prize under the supervision of telecommunications engineer Anis Massoudi, who accompanied them as a technical mentor. Meanwhile, Abla Abdelraouf from the University of Boumerdès received the Grand Prize in the mentors’ category, underscoring the pivotal role of mentors in this achievement.
In the Cloud category, Mokran Imad Eddine and Belali Amira from the National School of Computer Science in Algiers shone brightly, mentored by telecommunications engineer Gara Soufiane and cloud engineer Arabi Ishak, achieving a remarkable feat.
In the Network category, Marzouga Elias from the National School of Telecommunications in Oran, Beldi Aya Sarah from the University of Algiers 1, and Senoussi Ibrahim from the National School of Computer Science in Sidi Bel Abbès secured first place under the guidance of telecommunications engineer Merah Mokhtar.

In the Innovation category, Sofiane Chelghoum from the National School of Computer Science and Digitalization in Béjaïa, Ranem Mehalta from the University of Sétif, Walid Guessoum from the National School of Advanced Technologies, and Marwa Ben Tazi from the University of Science and Technology in Oran were honored with distinguished awards, affirming Algerian creativity in this field.

Notably, all mentors who guided the winning teams are graduates of Algerian universities and are certified trainers at the Huawei ICT Academy. This achievement reflects the high quality of mentorship and expertise they possess, highlighting the strength of higher education in Algeria.
