Algiers, May 31, 2025 – The General Directorate of National Security has announced the implementation of a special security plan to secure the Intermediate Education Certificate (BEM) exams for the June 2025 session, which will commence tomorrow, Sunday, across the entire national territory, including the capital, Algiers. This measure aims to ensure that the exams proceed under safe and organized conditions.
Stringent Security Measures to Support Students
The security plan includes intensifying motorized and foot patrols around exam centers to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate the movement of students and their parents. Police units have also been assigned to escort the transportation of exam papers, ensuring their confidentiality and safety. The police urged drivers and parents to comply with traffic regulations, avoid haphazard parking near exam centers, and adhere to the instructions of security personnel on the ground.
Awareness on Cybersecurity

In a related context, the Algiers Wilaya Police issued a warning statement on May 31, 2025, regarding cybersecurity risks that may target students and parents during the exam period. They advised regularly updating passwords, refraining from sharing personal information online, and being cautious of suspicious links or messages claiming to provide exam papers. The police emphasized the importance of reporting any suspicious activity through the emergency numbers: 023 49 82 75 and 023 49 82 73.
